37001
Entered service as D6701 in December 1960 and quickly followed D6700 allocated to Stratford, working out of Liverpool St. It too had a bit of a tour of the Eastern region being sent to Wath, Tinsley (twice), Thornaby (twice), renumbered in the TOPS system to 37001 before being called in for conversion to Heavyweight loco 37707 in December 1987. Allocated to various depots after that, Canton, Stratford, Immingham (twice), Eastfield, Toton and Crewe before ending its days at Toton and being cut up by EMR at Kingsbury in November 2011.

Thornaby allocated 37001 is seen here leaving Gloucester with the 11:45 Cardiff to Newcastle on Saturday 30th September 1978, seemed like a good way to return it home to the North East.
37002
Another allocated to Thornaby at the time, 37002 at Harlow Town. This working is the 0715 from Ipswich to London Liverpool St. (via Cambridge) on 22nd August 1979. Quite often a North East allocated loco would find itself at Harwich, so the trip to Ipswich wouldn't be far to work this service. This loco was renumbered to 37351 in May '89 and was cut up by TJ Thompson's of Stockton in November 2011.
37004
Seen at Cardiff Canton, date unknown but guessing when it became allocated there from July 1991 to September 1992. In Metals livery it would quite often be found plying its trade between South Wales and Scotland when vast amounts of steel were moved by rail. Cut up in Glasgow by MC Metals, June 1996.
37007
Allocated to Gateshead at the time, 37007 is a long way from home at Bristol Bath Rd. on 29th June 1984. It would go on to have a couple more guises after this. It became 37506 and then designated and equipped for EPS nightstar services as 37604 which never ran. At the time of writing it is still in existence being used by DRS.
37008 & 37095
When double-headed 37's were employed on the Cambrian Coast with the locos working between Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth/Pwllheli and return on a summer Saturday. 37008 & 37095 Dovey Junction, with the 15:05 Pwllheli - Euston on 28th May 1988. It would later be involved in a collision and cut up by MRJ Phillips at Crewe in July 1996.
37008 & 37197
Following on from the previous week, 37008 has found a 'new friend' in the shape of 37197. Arrival at Pwllheli for the 07:40 from London Euston. A push-back out of the dead-end terminus, run-round, & push-back in readiness for 15:05 return on 4th June 1988. These two locos will again run-round at Shrewsbury on this service before an AC electric works the train from Wolverhampton. It would later be involved in a collision and cut up by MRJ Phillips at Crewe in July 1996.
37009
A rather grainy Thornaby allocated 37009 at Cardiff Central and the perils of using cheap film, July 1976. Leading a charmed life it was allocated for component recovery and condemned then for disposal in 1999 as 37340. It was bought for spares and sent to Brush, Loughborough again for spares recovery until bought and is currently under restoration at Nottingham Heritage Transport Centre, Ruddington.

About to blast off towards its homeland in the North East, 37010 at Derby with the 07:30 Birmingham New St. - Newcastle on 7th July 1979. One of a select group of 37s sent to France in 1999 for use in upgrading their Hi-speed network. It languished for nearly seven years stored out of use before being cut up by CF Booths, Rotherham in July 2007.

Another 'Dutch 37' at Weymouth. 37010 with the 16:30 to Cardiff Central on 15th August 1992. It would later be sent to France to work infrastructure trains in readiness for their new high speed services. It languished for nearly seven years stored out of use before being cut up by CF Booths, Rotherham in July 2007.
37011
Following problems with overhead line equipment, and the late running of the sleepers from Euston, 37011 was sent out of Glasgow Queen St. at 05:50 with just two coaches bound for Fort William seen here at Tulloch on 1st March 1984. It was involved in a collision with 2xEMUs at Singer in January '87 and was stored before being cut up at J.Rollasons, Wellington in August/September 1989.
37014
The return from Stranraer at Ayr on 20th July 1986. Getting off here may have seemed like a strange thing to do but the other train to Stranraer that Sunday was hauled by 37085 and another few hours in the town. Renumbered 37709 in February 1988, it was eventually cut up by EMR at Kingsbury in September 2011.
