37029
This loco started life as D6729 at Stratford finding work at most of the Eastern Region depots. Renumbered to 37029 in late 1973 it was withdrawn in February 1993 but escaped the cutters torch and in June 2000 became part of the Riviera Trains Operational fleet. Taken into the DRS fold in October 2003 and now preserved, based at the Epping & Ongar Railway. Another view at Rhymney as 37029 shunts the stock for an overnight stay before working back to Cardiff the following morning. Late July 2000.
37030 & 37167
Staring life as D6730 this locos first allocation was Hull Dairycoates in October 1961. Like most locos it has had a series of depot changes, taking in most of the Eastern Region before becoming 37030.It was called to works for conversion to 37701 in December 1986 and a change of scenery as part of the coal sector at Cardiff Canton. Ended life at EMR Kingsbury, cut up in January 2008.

Unofficially name ‘Mirage’ at Tinsley in October 1992 before withdrawal in March 1994. Although originally allocated to Hull Dairycoates from new in March 1962 as D6733 this loco once transferred to March would often be found on passenger services out of Liverpool St. to Cambridge & Kings Lynn. A move to Eastfield in January 1981 gave it a new lease of life working passenger services on the West Highland line. A brief spell at both Motherwell & Inverness before being called to works for conversion to 37719 and transfer to Cardiff Canton and the Metals pool. Eventually cut up by EMR at Kingsbury in January 2008.
Waiting its next turn 37033 sits at Eastfield depot on 26th February 1984, and judging by the lack of steam pipe on No. 2 end, would be exempt from winter passenger duties.37033
