A loco synonymous with March or Inverness although it did have several other allocations during its career including Stratford, Thornaby, Healey Mills, Eastfield, Motherwell and latterly Bescot, Eastleigh and finally Toton before withdrawal. Named “Inverness TMD” and had “Quality Assured” plated added below at a later date.
Bought by the Scottish Thirty-seven Group and moved to Bo’ness it then went out on-loan to Colas Rail but has recently returned to the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway. It is still, at time of writing, Railtrack certified.
Preserved or not? No one would ever expect a Class 37s on the mainline in 2016 and certainly not on freight train, sort of. On hire to Colas for crew training, 37025 starts its first run from Barry to Barry with 6B11 via Vale of Glamorgan, Briton Ferry Yard and Pengam (Cardiff) on 27th January 2016.
