The use of Tinsley/Buxton stone sector allocated 37’s was a common practice in on Summer Saturday trains from Birmingham New St. to Aberystwyth and back to Shrewsbury in 1988. Here 37682 & 37679 run-round the 0620 from Birmingham on 16th July.
Rugby special day and a chance to have a 37 along part of the Central Wales line and take a few pictures at the stabling point of Pantyffynnon. Here 37689 is seen on 20th January 1990.
The other 37 stabled at Pantyffnnon on 20th January 1990 is 37693. Slightly different to other coal sector examples in that it has large numbers on the bodyside and no coal sector branding.
