Entered service as D6701 in December 1960 and quickly followed D6700 allocated to Stratford, working out of Liverpool St. It too had a bit of a tour of the Eastern region being sent to Wath, Tinsley (twice), Thornaby (twice), renumbered in the TOPS system to 37001 before being called in for conversion to Heavyweight loco 37707 in December 1987. Allocated to various depots after that, Canton, Stratford, Immingham (twice), Eastfield, Toton and Crewe before ending its days at Toton and being cut up by EMR at Kingsbury in November 2011. Part of the FPAE, Petroleum sector allocated to Eastfield at the time the loco would lay over at Inverness for a while giving it a chance for a spin from there to Elgin and back. This loco was the ex 37001 and as such one of the first six locos form the Vulcan Foundary to have the cantrail grills sub divided in two (D6700 - D6705 or 37001 - 37005 & 37119 as many knew them).
37707 terminates at Elgin with the 09:15 from Inverness, 31st August 1990.
